- Fact: More than 40% of children who start drinking before the age of 13 will develop alcohol abuse or alcohol dependence (alcoholism) at some point in their lives.
- Fact: Alcohol hammers a teenagers brain. Research shows that binge drinking may permanently damage the brain's ability to learn, remember, solve problems, pay attention, reason and make good decisions.
- Fact: 75% of year eight ( 12-13 year old) who drink alcohol obtain it from their parents ( with or without their knowledge)
