Our Experience

All of Alcohelp's founders have first hand experience, sometimes tragic, of alcohol abuse and addiction.
This is what makes alcoHELP particularly powerful in terms of the messages it is able to get across. Young people are able to hear first-hand about the trustees' experiences with alcohol and the negative impact it has on many lives, including family and friends. Now, the charity also has a number of volunteers helping them who are fully trained.
The programmes have been deliberately tailored to specific age groups and enables children and young adults to ask all sorts of questions about alcohol. In addition, for those who have individual concerns, Alcohelp is fully CRB checked counsellors are able to offer confidential guidance and support.
The fundamental principle regarding anyone with an alcohol problem is anonymity and we will always respect this, which is why many young people and their care givers approach us.
